- Cooperation Agreement for the Harvard Allston Science Complex
Harvard University and the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA) worked with the Harvard Task Force and local elected officials to develop a Cooperation Agreement on community benefits associated with the Harvard Allston Science Complex that seeks to respond to important needs and interests of the Allston neighborhood and City of Boston. These community benefits will serve as a foundation for a long-term partnership with the neighborhood.

- City Board Gives Approval to Allston Science Complex Plans
Harvard University has received the approval from the Board of Directors of the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA) for plans for the Harvard Allston Science Complex. The four building complex, to be located on Western Avenue in Allston, is slated to become the new home of the Harvard Stem Cell Institute and other emerging interdisciplinary scientific initiatives at Harvard. The announcement follows an extensive review process with the Harvard Allston Task Force, the Allston community and the City of Boston, and marks an important milestone in Harvard's ongoing effort to create an extended campus in Allston.»Read More
- Harvard University submits Environmental Notification Form to the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs
On July 31, 2007, Harvard filed an Environmental Notification Form (ENF) to the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) Office. The document presents Harvard's initial assessment of the potential environmental impacts for Harvard's proposed 20-year Master Plan for its Allston Campus. In addition to the review of Harvard’s proposed master plan framework, the ENF requests a Phase One Waiver for the Science Complex project, allowing the environmental review process for the complex to move ahead of the environmental review of the master plan.

- Harvard University submits Draft Project Impact Report for the Harvard Allston Science Complex to the City of Boston
On June 25, 2007, Harvard filed a Draft Project Impact Report (DPIR) with the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA) for Harvard’s Allston Science Complex. The DPIR provides detailed analysis of the impacts the project will have on the immediate neighborhood and the City as a whole such as traffic and parking, environmental protection, design of the building, and proposed community benefits associated with the project.
- Harvard Participates in 5th Annual Boston Shines Clean-up
Harvard employees teamed up to participate in Mayor Menino's 5th annual Citywide clean up event, Boston Shines, on May 4, 2007 in Allston. Over 60 employees from different university departments and employees from Shaws Supermarket volunteered their time to clean up sites throughout the neighborhood.

On January 11, 2007, Harvard unveiled a vision for its future, filing with the City of Boston a proposed Institutional Master Plan for the first stage of the physical evolution of an interdisciplinary campus in Allston.

On December 15, 2006 Harvard filed an Institutional Master Plan (IMP) Amendment with the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA) for its Allston Campus. The amendment includes two projects: Harvard's Allston Science Complex and Harvard University Art Museums (HUAM) Art Center.

- Behnisch Architekten submits early design ideas for Harvard’s Allston Science Complex
While a final design still remains months away, Behnisch Architekten, the architectural firm selected to design the Allston Science Complex, has presented a series of preliminary concepts and ideas for the science complex to the Harvard and Allston communities.

- Architect selected for art center in Allston-Brighton
The Harvard University Art Museums announced the selection of Daly Genik Architects of Los Angeles to design the first Harvard visual arts center in Allston-Brighton, Mass., for students and the public. (May 18, 2006)
The art center will provide teaching and research facilities, an object-based study center, conservation laboratories, and gallery space primarily for the exhibition of modern and contemporary art. Daly Genik, a firm known for its adaptive reuse of large-scale structures and sensitivity to building in existing neighborhoods, will create the new facilities from two adjacent Harvard-owned buildings at 1360 and 1380 Soldiers Field Road. The project marks the first step in establishing a vital University arts and culture presence that will evolve as a part of Harvard's Allston campus over the coming decades.
